Across the country PTAs provide funds for schools to improve the resources available and the children’s school experience.
The Sacred Heart School PTA is a friendly active group of parents and teachers raising funds throughout the year to enhance our children’s educational experience.
There are annual school events which have received PTA support at the Sacred Heart School for many years now. These include the Christmas Bazaar, the Summer Fete, a Splash Evening at the end of summer term utilising the schools lovely swimming pool, Discos at various times of year which are well received by all age groups, Reindeer Drives which are a great family event, Quizzes, a Summer Ball etc. The PTA also runs the Uniform Shop.
Examples of projects supported by the Sacred Heart School PTA include funding additional play equipment, providing iPads for teaching as well as training for teachers, assisting with the purchase of a mini bus and a piano and raising significant funds for the swimming pool refurbishment. Currently funds are sought for a class set of Ukulele’s.
In recent times, since celebrating the first 100 year anniversary of the school, the PTA have been active in marketing and moving the school forward for future generations to benefit from the same excellent schooling and education that has benefited so many in the past.
The PTA is a great way to meet other parents and teachers and participate in improving our school. Anyone interested in joining the PTA should contact the school office.
