Together We Can Make A Difference
Over the last century, philanthropy and support from the wider school community has been pivotal to the development and advancement of the school. Sacred Heart School is not richly endowed and, as such, has been aided by the generosity of those who share its vision to help sustain and grow the school at critical points in its history.
We aim to provide students with the knowledge, understanding and confidence to become successful, reflective and compassionate citizens of the world.
There are a number of ways to contribute to Sacred Heart School. Every gift or action provides important and necessary support to the school and helps to make real the ambition of providing a high-class education for tomorrow’s leaders. We want to continue to make a difference and with your help we can. In whatever way you would like to become involved we would love to hear from you.

In 1912, the Parish Priest of Swaffham, Fr Joseph Vendé approached the Superior General of the Daughters of Divine Charity, an Austrian congregation in Vienna, and asked her to send Sisters to found a Convent and School in Swaffham.
In June and July 1914 the first Sisters arrived with seven girls who were to be the first pupils of the school. In spite of many difficulties the first Convent and School dedicated to the Sacred Heart flourished and by 1924 there were fifty pupils of whom twenty were boarders. From then the school has gone from strength to strength.
Today, we remain committed to our original vision, and currently where possible provide financial support to students. The school aims to increase the support available for students to ensure it continues to attract talented students, regardless of financial background. This goal can only be achieved with the support of past pupils, parents and friends of the school.
With your support, in 2016 we would be able to support talented students who would not otherwise be able to attend Sacred Heart School To support our Bursary Appeal, please contact us on the form below.
Bequests Are a Powerful & Enduring Way For Donors To Contribute To The School
The Daughters of Divine Charity are grateful to the many individuals who have chosen to remember the school in their Will. A bequest to the Sacred Heart School will provide a world of opportunities and inspiration for future generations. Throughout the Sacred Heart School’s long history, benefactors have played a key role in its development and have provided bequests which have helped transformed the school and inspired future generations.
We all want to look after family and friends first and having done so, you may want to consider a gift in your Will to Sacred Heart School. As a registered charity (no. 237760), a legacy to the Sacred Heart School in most instances is tax free and will reduce any inheritance tax burden on your estate, whilst ensuring that your gift benefits others long into the future.
