Senior School

Welcome From The Head Of Senior School

Our senior school is a place where each individual matters.  There are strong supportive relationships between staff and pupils and the House system forges links between younger and older pupils which are of mutual benefit, the younger pupils see the older pupils as role models and older pupils develop a sense of responsibility for those in their care.

To be a member of the Sacred Heart Senior School is to be part of a community which not only cares for each other within the school but also for the local community and the global community through supporting local events and raising monies for charities.  Form groups and individual pupils also make autonomous decisions to organise fundraising for emergency appeals and this is encouraged and supported by the whole school.

We aim for our pupils to develop into confident, well-rounded individuals who attain their potential, not only intellectually, but also socially and personally.  Excellence is at the heart of what we do, stimulating enquiry through high quality teaching, throughout our broad curriculum, which supports the development of initiative and develops self-confidence so that our pupils go out into the world able to cope with the challenges they will encounter, not only in the their personal lives but also in the world of work.

When you come to this school and meet our pupils you will experience not only their courtesy and good manners, but also their positivity and enthusiasm. I hope that you will feel that you want to be part of this very special community.
